Of the companies on this year’s Working Mother 100 Best Companies list, 83% of them allow employees to take leaves, paid or unpaid, of six months or more and return to a comparable job. This includes leaves taken for any reason outside of parental or medical leaves, like sabbaticals.
We’ll be leading a “Next Big Thing” roundtable discussion – all about sabbaticals – at Working Mother’s WorkLife Congress in New York City, October 27-29. The conferences boasts an opportunity for attendees to “find out how our best companies for working mothers are STILL able to say ‘work’ and ‘life’ in the same sentence, and how doing so contributes to employee engagement, which means committed, productive employees who make growth and innovation possible even in today’s economy.”
Let us know if you’re going to be there.
